Sweet antenna, big and pulls in the stations I was looking for. Seems well made, stand up t wind on top of roof.

We had been unable to get a certain channel for years with our old small booster antenna. This antenna got it and 38 other channels!!

I originally purchased 2 different antennas from Amazon which promised "200 Mile Range". They technically worked, but the major networks "ABC/CBS/NBC/FOX" would pixel out. This antenna arrived very quickly (2-3days) no with issues with packaging or shipping.
Make sure there are no HOA restrictions with the dimensions on this antenna, it’s massive once assembled (9ftX6ft). Solid Signal does have a video on how to assemble antenna which is useful for people like me because I like to get right into the assembly.
The installation was straight forward, but you will need some basic handy man skills when assembling. My antenna's holes for the extensions were tight and the pre-drilled holes needed to be slightly bored larger so the screws would fit without hammering them in.
My Sony Bravia TV discovered 58 digital channels once I got the antenna up and pointed in the right direction. (I used the app Antenna Point on my phone to find the best direction for broadcast towers).

In the mornings when propogaion is good I've gotten stations from central Texas, over 250 miles from Corpus Christi, ZVictoria, Houston, Mexico, Shreveport Lousiana, &Dallas with a good preamp and rg-11 coax That's rare, but I regularly get waco/austin/belton temple, San Antonio & Houston in the mornings from north of Austin. rg11 coax, mast mounted preamp & rotator needed. Altitude/height matters

Tried two other antennas first. They pixelated a lot or would not get the station at all. They were rated for 200 miles, the stations I was trying to get were less than 55 miles. This antenna gets it all with no pixelating. Wish I had gotten this first.

Just what I was looking for. Nearest major broadcast towers are 80 miles away and this is the only antenna that can get all of the channels without interruption in the signal. I would definitely recommend this antenna for anyone that has the roof space for something this big.

Not the best instructions. Could be a little more information or bigger pictures. Alot bigger than thought. Had to drill out some of the holes. And the back wing part all them hole were not in a line like the rest off it. I figured it was made on a Friday. Made in the USA so wasn't impressive with the quality of lining up the holes so it goes together better. Did put a old boost I had on it. Picked up 40 plus channels. That impressed me. Live in the country 60 miles from any big city. Been up 2 weeks works great from what I can tell. Haven't had any wind yet. I'll Rate it at a 4 for now.

Plans were a little sketchy, but I figured it out and assembled it. Difficult part is to mount it on a pole without bending elements 25 feet above the ground. Strong signal.

This antenna improved my TV reception tremendously. It is large! You'll want to have an assistant if you are mounting it on a roof. I'm no expert in antennas, but this one seems to be more directionally sensitive than my old antenna. If you are hoping to pick up signals from widely varying sources a router may be necessary.

Great antenna. This is what we have been searching for. Our lake house sits down in a valley and the new round antennas do not get any reception. This replaced an older version and we are able to scan 26 air channels and helps us receive our favorite FM radio station.

Works just great. Wife bought a new expensive smart TV but couldn’t bring in some of her favorite programs. This antenna brings in everything she wants. We are 100 miles from major stations

Antenna works fairly well, drawing in 3-4 additional stations. A guywire to ground and stabilize the mast seemed to help.
One complaint: one of the two posts or bolts to attach the lead wire was scratched/damaged in transit. That wasn't noticed until the last step of assembly, so i re-engineered it to work.

Got this shipped out to us fast, I did buy shipping insurance, didn't need it, they package the antenna good, but you can never tell about the shipping company, any way the package came in 2 days. Antenna was fairly easy to put together, this antenna is real big, not hard to handle though, just a little awkward, we are in our 70's, so getting the pole up with the antenna on it was not to hard, antenna was not heavy. We put it up on a single wide mobile home, run about 70 feet of cable to TV and then a splitter for a second TV another 20 feet, receive all the channels on both TVs. I think this antenna is great.

The HD8200XL antenna, at 14 feet elevation, outperformed original outdoor TV dipole antenna, 22 foot elevation, with a 10 dB broadband amplifier. No amplifier required for the HD8200XL. Picked up my desired RF channel 3 (60 - 66 Mhz) and no pixelization experienced. The 300 ohm balanced to 75 ohm unbalanced matching transformer supplied has poor quality spade lugs. Both original spade lugs were replaced with higher quality crimp spade lugs due to original tabs breaking off. The 5 dB to 6.7 dB antenna gain for RF channel 3 made all the positive difference in viewing experience. Four star rating, not five, due to the matching transformer component quality.

The Antenna WORKS GREAT!

This is exactly what I was expecting, very similar to fringe antennas I installed before cable came along. It was easy to assemble. I have it attached to a 30 foot mast pole, and am waiting for my grandson to help me erect it on the gable end of my house. The RF channels I need to pick up are 2, 6, 8, 11, 12, 13, 17, 20, 24, 26, 28, 30, 35, and 36. Most of them are in an arc from 347 degrees to 6 degrees (all mostly north). Three are at 153 and 154 degrees, but are duplicates of some of the others. I may decide later on to get a rotator to pick them up. I had to telephone to place my order, as I could not get the web page to work correctly. The lady assisting me was just fantastic! If I could give 10 stars, I would!

This antenna is massive! It works great though, pulls in Lo-V signals that I had issues with in the Philadelphia area.

Installed this antenna in June to replace one of those cheapy plastic ones with built in amp and rotor. Was trying to fix occasional pixilation one some channels and pick up a low VHF channel that the old antenna could not. Could not be happier with the results. Picking up the low VHF channel without issue. Pixilation is gone.
Mounted on 5' mast (also from Solid Signal) on my 2 story roof approx 30' from ground. Some of my attic still blocks the signal. I have transmitters in two different directions (12 miles at 27 degrees, 28 miles at 287). Picks up everything! No amp needed.
Only complaint is the little transformer that connects to the antenna and outputs the coax has very fragile 'fork' connectors and very thin wire. I broke one off and ended up clipping off the connectors and wiring direct to the terminals on the antenna. Don't bother with the manual, watch the video on the SolidSignal product page. It's embedded with the product photos on the left hand side.

This antenna performs beyond our expectations. We live in a rural area, and we went from receiving 0 channels to over 50 channels immediately upon installation.

This antenna replaces one just like it that has gotten damaged over time, the old one was used when I got it.
I live 70 miles from Jacksonville Fl. and I pick up 42 over the air tv stations and substations.
I am using a cheap amplifier that came with a $30. antenna, the cheap antenna didn't work very well.
I also used 2 pieces of chain-link fence top rail ( 1-1/4" x 10.5' each ) for a mast that gets it up high enough for good reception.

LOL. Replaces my original 1963 antenna. Great reception. Only three houses on my block have a roof mount antenna. I love it because watching TV is FREEEEE.
Assembly instructions and pictures could be larger for easier reading. That would cut assembly and mounting time. With that said, my antenna was up and receiving reception in an hour and a half. Wholeheartedly a 5 Star rating.

Good antenna pick up 88 channels

Our little outdoor antenna that has the two little circles was cute, but a few channels didn't come in at all, and a few others broke up during certain seasons or depending on atmospheric conditions. The cable is split to go to three TV's, and we tried a booster, but it didn't do anything. This antenna has brought in all the available channels, and so far, no breaking up. (When winter comes that will be the test for a couple of the channels that never did well during the winter.) My husband put it together and put it up by himself (not necessarily the smartest thing to do) in an hour or so. As others have mentioned, do watch the video. He read the installation booklet, but the video is much clearer. He watched the video step-by-step as he was assembling the antenna, and it was a great help. We are very happy with this purchase so far.

Received all parts undamaged. Assembly instructions were clear. Assembly is straightforward but the antenna is definitely bulky and one must be careful not to accidentally bend or break parts. Signal is definitely stronger than the antenna it replaced.

Worth. Every. Penny. 14dB compared to 10dB DataBoss, which I also own. I live in the city. The tall buildings prevent a lot of VHF reception. I do not get the local NBC or ABC 35 miles away. I get CBS only because they have a translator nearby. I am much happier with this massive antenna because I get more channels. (I also use a 35db power amp.)

We are very please with this antenna. It has brought in several tv stations that we had lost. It was easy to assemble and install.
The only thing we felt needed to be improved was the prongs on the coaxial connector. They were weak and broke when my husband was tightening them. Luckily he had a couple on hand and we were able to use one of the.

The antenna was better than expected, I previously was picking up about 20 channels that were intermitting , and now picking up 60 that are clear.
I am very pleased.

Assembly instructions were sketchy and difficult to follow without a large clear picture. I'm more a visual learner. Attenna works well - one station at the 70 mile limit doesn't always come in but picked up a few others . At least 27 stations.

Easy to put together with the directions. Bigger than I expected. Only have it 18' in the air. Pulled in all the available signals in my area (69).

Extremely pleased with this antenna. I am 55 miles from the nearest broadcast, but I am picking up stations from much farther away. From the start and without turning to find that sweet spot, I am receiving 55 channels. Can't hardly wait to start turning to find the best position!

Antenna was pretty easy to assemble and a little bit of a challenge to put on the existing pole on roof by myself because of the large size. But it being light did help and the use of a quick clamp to keep it from sliding down the pole while tightening the bolts took the place of extra hands. TV Reception is as good as can be expected because of some trees 1/2 mile away that I think is blocking the signal a little bit but the signal is strong enough to pick up the station I needed.

Picks up all the stations we needed even though we are 125 miles away from them; clear, digital picture, better than DISH satellite service; and we couldn't be happier with our purchase!

I live an extremely wooded area. Years ago a rooftop antenna was the only way to receive broadcast signals. My small Yagi (60” Long 40” wide did the trick with the aid of a directional rotor. Trees grew and had to go to satellite Direct and Dish. Internet was barely an option and still is but a little better as speeds have increased (still have DSL although Fiber is less than a 1/4 mile from me). At the rate it’s moving closer to me I expect to be long time dead before getting access. So, I decided to go for the Extreme Long Range HD antenna from Solid Signal. This baby is Big! 30 feet up and this thing pulls in 79 Channels without using a rotor! Happy Customer

Good quality antenna for the price. I get excellent reception on all stations within 70 miles (even those that are in the opposite direction from the direction that the antenna is pointed. It is mounted inside of my attic (I have a 12 foot wide attic and it takes all of it to allow the antenna to be rotated).

Get all the major channels in HD so, no need for cable anymore when you use this along with streaming services on internet.

This antenna is hard to beat for the money. I caught a sale and got it for $120. Everything that I needed to assemble and mount the antenna was in the box. It's well made and relatively simple to assemble, but it did take 2 people because this thing is huge.

After installing and aiming it, I didn't gain any channels but all of the channels that I do get have a noticeably stronger signal.

I was pleasantly surprised at the capabilities of this antenna. It's a little longer than my last one and definitely lighter but pulls in all of the stations that I watch OTA. The price point was excellent and I had tried others that did not work as well. My local stations are 20-30 miles away but I also pick up some from as much as 80 miles away...if I ever lose my local ones, those will keep me up to date. Good Job!

Well built. takes a few minutes to put it together, it comes in sections because it is quite large. It is large but pulls in the station very well. I brought the mast and mount for the roof as well. Ordered it one day and got it the next. It is a Michigan company and I live in Michigan.

It's still in the box. I'm taking it to my mother's house which is 80 miles away to install. Hopefully the antenna works great and it will be worth my expense and time.
It's 18 degrees outside, so hopefully it warms up soon.

Bought one of the extreme antennas for my husband and no more broken receptions. Very good signal. With this antenna the internet and wifi with a smart TV you can cut the cord and the dish saving a ton of money and even enjoy more than you could watch! No longer paying $100+ a month to watch TV. Excellent HD Signal. A pre-amp is also a plus and everything pays for itself in a short while and you can flip off the satellite and cable providers saving money monthly EVERY MONTH!

I got the New antenna yesterday. Box was damaged but antenna OK. Very outdoor appropriate solid hardware. Went together fairly easily working by myself. Previous used antenna I had was damaged so added a New UHF antenna to it with a combiner but picture still wasn't solid. Took down the old damaged antenna yesterday, installed the new Antenna and new Rotor and combined it with the UHF antenna and what a difference! Without turning the rotor I did a channel search. I got 46 channels. All perfectly clear and no pixelating! If it holds the rotor may never be used.

This is an effective, well built antenna. I live in the mountains, 30 to 50 miles from the stations I need to pick up. I installed with a rotor and am well satisfied. Assembly was easy. Instructions were clear. Price was well below comparable products.

Well designed and easy to assemble.

This is larger than expected. It is not flimsy at all. After consulting with antenna web, I was basically supposed to get 8 channels with this or any antenna. I took a chance. I purchased this antenna and a signal booster. This is by far the best purchase so far. I went from only getting 8 channels to over 50 channels. I live about 130 miles from Philadelphia and I get all the stations there. Very little cutting out. I use a rotor so I can dial in the best signal. Could not be happier. I dropped my cable box off yesterday.

Was easy to put together, laying it on picnic table really helps out. Got 8 channels with an indoor antenna, still only get 8 channels,………but they come in clearer 🤔🤔🤔 here in nw Arkansas. So don’t expect miracles folks. This is with the booster to.

Great antenna!! Receiving twice as many channels than before, direction need to be better

First, the box arrived fairly quick but looked like it had been stored in a traveling container for a long time and made it through, barely. We assembled the antenna and mounted it up on a long pole. It was able to pickup several DTV stations that are 45 miles away but only with three white bars. My tv shows signal strength as no signal, orange, white and then five green bars for best reception. And yes, I am using a signal booster on the tv. At least now I do have reception where other antennas were failing.

Overall, the antenna works well and was easy to assemble. However, it does not perform any better that the much cheaper antenna that it replaced. I was expecting to be able to receive the Fox channel. Unfortunately the old antenna brought in Fox at times. This antenna simply does not at all, so of course I am somewhat disappointed.

My new antenna arrived as promised. The antenna came with printed instructions. However it was VERY BENEFICIAL to watch the video of it being assembled. I did the entire assembly myself and it took me under an hour to complete and hoist it into place. The instructions strongly recommend that you don’t do it alone. This is because if there is any wind (which there wasn’t for me) it would be very difficult to move around. Once installed it picked up stations immediately and now I have a full contingent of free channels to choose from. My installation is about 70 miles from the nearest towers and it pulled them in without any issues. I highly recommend this antenna!

Ordered on line, Response and shipping was very fast. The product was well designed, it took me an hour to assemble antenna on my two story roof. I mounted it on my Fire place chimney. I used 50 Foot of cable to get to my first tv. I live in south jersey so PHL is my Broadcast City about 50 miles away. My first tv search came up with 58 channels I had a booster in my basement hooked it up next to tv and got 75 stations So far so good

The antenna was well built and it was easy to assemble. The quality of the TV signals were excellent. I live 50 miles from three different TV stations with rolling hills in between and all three came in well. I am very pleased. Now I'll see how well it stands up to weather as our wind sometimes seem to destroy my antennas.

Customer complaint: Trees have grown up blocking signal LOS. He was down to about 30 channels and lost most of those 30 during bad weather. After installing this antenna with a pre-amp new scan produced 111 channels some as far away as 95 miles. He also reported local channels locked during bad weather. This is a satisfied customer.

Antenna went together very easy. Reception was great, with the signal 48 miles away. Antenna is large, so consider that when lifting on the roof.

This is a good antenna. Pretty easy to assemble. Only problem I had was the #10 nuts were missing. Had to go to the store to get some. Other than that, I would recommend getting this antenna.

I search for an antenna to put up outside and found this one on sale. After reading a few of the reviews I purchased unit. I found it easy to assemble and putting it up was a two person job for sure. It has worked GREAT. This unit is large. My husband has laughed at me cause I always overdo things. I do recommend this to anyone who wants to cut the cord.

The ultimate in fringe reception. Seems to be well made. Delivery was quick and antenna went together with all of the parts included. This antenna is really big! Keep in mind that it is directional an only receives signal where you point it. Would recommend this unit.

This antenna is well built and easy to put together. From the time that I opened the box, until the time I mounted it, was 1 hour. I had read the instruction from the manual that I got on line, so I was familiar with it when it arrived. I also laid it on a table in my garage, which made it easier to assemble by myself. I get about 65 channels with the antenna at only 15 feet. I would like to move it up to about 25-30 feet this summer. It's a good buy at $159.99, but a great buy at the current $124.99. 2 thumbs up here!

Unit comes complete with all necessary parts. I am pushing the limits of its ability in that transmission is about 80 miles away in somewhat mountainous terrane . I have been able to pull in several stations with good clarity.

Arrived earlier than expected & in good shape. Hopefully it will last as long as the one replaced.

I wish I would have listened to my wife sooner ! After having satellite since 1999, she finally convinced me to cut the cord . Taking our time so not to bend anything out of shape and prepping the mast with the ground wire it took about 2.5 hours from start to finish. With our Samsung Smart tv we get over 300 channels in total. Our older tv ( not smart tv) we get over 100 channels. Now we save over $150 a month! Only thing that I disliked about the site was that we never got an update when it was shipped. I would purchase again if needed.

Just got my antennae put up about 15ft off the ground. I live on the side of a hill from the stations. Went from a sometimes 12 to a full 24 stations. Thanks extreme signal.

Hello I purchased the HD8200XL & it is a phenomenal purchase! I picked up 90 channels here in NYC. Going to cut off my cable tv & just keep internet. Only thing needs changing is the transformer. Get the solid wire not the braided one.

Have not connected it yet, due to the weather. On time and in excellent condition. 👌

I am completely satisfied with this antenna. It was delivered on time and in good condition. The price is reasonable as it provides good value for the money. It is the best kind of antenna I have found for my location, which is approximately 25 miles away from the broadcast centers with lots of hills and valleys in between.

The directions that came with the antenna were a bit challenging. I went on youtube on how to assemble the HD8200XL. Very informal and after the view assembly went without any problems. They recommend 2 people to assemble and put antenna in place but if you are at all handy you can do it alone as I did. After setting the antenna in the direction of the tower and doing a channel search we came up with 62 channels with great clarity. I've tried numerous antennas and this is by far and I really mean BY FAR the best reception we have ever had. No leaves on the trees right now, hoping reception will not suffer come summer. As of now I am 100% satisfied with my purchase.

I received my antenna last week and got it installed. I live in a very wooded rural area so I was really worried it wouldn't work. I've tried several other types of antenna and was only able to pick up a couple of stations. To my amazement when I plugged this antenna in I was able to get 39 channels. I have now dropped my Dish Satellite and will be using my antenna and Roku stick. I would highly recommend this antenna.

Great! I live in Sumerduck VA and couldn't receive any channels after major snow storm because my antenna was damage. I order this antenna and CM7777 Pre-Amp from Channel Master. After correctly installing the antenna with adjustments over my house roof-crown, I received every channel from the Washington DC stations without any problem. My wife stated that it was the best that she ever saw any over-the-air TV stations. The Pre-Amp corrected many pixing problems.

Received this antenna yesterday. I put it together in the attic which was a little difficult because there is no floor. Had to balance on rafters. It was well worth the effort. I live 35 miles northeast of Philadelphia and had a hard time getting 6abc, WPVI. This antenna pulled it in with no problem plus 57 more channels. The price of the antenna was less than a month for cable! I Highly recommend this antenna.

I ordered the HD8200XL in July, received in August and just got up in the air in October. The reception from this antenna is absolutely amazing. I am using the Channel Master outside preamp and also a Channel Master distribution amp, 4 port model. The antenna is up on a small Rohn 30 ft tower. I am pulling stations on vhf and uhf at the 100 mile range. Beautiful pictures with no pixelating at all. Also using a rotor. This is the antenna to get, Love this antenna!!

Bought this unit to replace my Radio Shack deep fringe yagi, that I installed about 14 years ago, after tree limbs damaged it. This new Xtreme unit increased me to about 60 channels, all crystal-clear, with good signal strength. The build quality seems excellent, quite solid. I like that it is US built also. Assembly took about an hour -- not bad. The printed instructions were relatively simple. I chimney mount, about 20 from the ground, and live in a hilly region on the edge of the Smokey Mountains. I also use an old R.S. amplifier. It receives an arc of stations at least 50-degrees wide, despite being significantly directional. I'm getting an assortment of stations in the Asheville area, at least 50 miles out, and one from the Charlotte area, a good 80 miles or more out. As I said, there is a substantial directional spread on these, better than I expected. It is LARGE -- a little over 12 feet in length, but that's a plus.

I ordered this antenna to feed 5 tvs. it does work very good even when it's too windy outside (30-40 mph). image won't pixelate. I don't have a pre amp on this antenna. i live in the city 87031 so i'm not that far from tv towers. because its a 12ft long antenna, could be too heavy I found it better to put it on the ground 20ft tall, some guy wire and let the antenna do the work. This is a directional antenna so I had to do research on channels available then aim it very good.

It recieves all channels. My other attempts using smaller antennas all failed. This antenna receives all channels from seattle to tacoma except 6.1 (?), 9.1(pbs), and 14.1(tbn channels) on first try without adjusting antenna. I had to use the tv to rescan for channels and 50+ popped up crystal clear quality and reception. I faced the antenna north towards antenna point hill in seattle and am missing the other channels that are broadcast from the antennas south by chehalis. I get channel 28.1 (pbs affilitate kbcts) but I do not know why I still do not get channel 6 and 9. There most be something wrong with there broadcast system. I am so happy this works without needing much adjustment. Once I find out how to get the other duplicate 5 channels I will be happier.

So I have tried numerous 70 mile range antennas at my house and although they pull in channels from 70 plus miles away, pixilation has been an issue. I thought why not give this bigger one a shot. I have been using an LTE filter on previous antenna so cell towers aren't the pixilation issue. I put this up mid November 2018 and our pixilation issue have disappeared and we are now picking up a distant PBS channel I have been trying to get all along. I had it assembled in about 30 minutes and mounted in no time. I paired it with a Channel Master 7777 pre-amp I was already using. I am using a 115ft cable run. All in all a great investment to eliminate the pixilation issues. Definitely is a good purchase for fringe and terrain areas.

more channels is the bottom line! if it would keep the weak signal in the hot humid air would have given a 5 star!

After a storm hit our house and destroyed my other antenna setup I purchased a year ago I decided to try this antenna. I live in the mountains about 50-60 miles from Atlanta. This thing works great, much better than the setup I bought from direct. It’s large, but if you live in the boondocks like me, this one work better than the 4 panel screen looking antennas. I purchased the rotator with this antenna because I needed it to fine tune the old one so I figured I needed it for this one. I didn’t need it. Adjust once and leave it be. I get around 48 channels

Took about 1 1/2hrs to put together and install on mast then put Channel Master Model CM-7777 Preamplifier on mast. Than put mast on chimney hooked up antenna wires up. Turn tv on ran the channels. First try got 75 channels didn't have to reset.

I bought the antenna when on sale last spring. It is BIG antenna. It was a little difficult to build. Use gloves. It is light weight construction, so don't mount it among dropping limbs, branches and well fed ravens. I have used it for FMBC DXing this summer and it performed very well. Very directional and easily nulls out semi-local stations. If you are replacing an outdoor antenna, be sure to replace the feedline too. Very glad I bought it and look forward to years of service.

Live in an area where many local stations fade throughout the year. We installed this antenna, and instantly received all available local channels, plus a few from Michigan. Best we've ever owned, thanks so much!! Went from 9 solid channels to 24.

great for any price. I am now picking up channels from Tokyo, this is no joke. don't know how it must be like skip on a C.B. radio. turned it and now am watching south Africa, there killing all the white people there. I hate the news.. thank you.

I live in a hilly, rural area with very tall (50+ft) trees, but VHF signals reach here well with a directional antenna and preamp, and NYC and Philly are full of VHF signals. I replaced an older LPDA Yagi at about 30 feet above ground (I'm located at 800+ ft above sea level which helps a lot). The VHF is very good, picking up stations over 75 miles away with a preamp. However, the Yagi (UHF) isn't calibrated for the post-repack channel spectrum (centered on channel 36, 605 MHz). I may dismantle the directors and driven element and re-assemble them for better gain. Adding more aluminum boom and directors to the front-end would help both from a weight-distribution as well as UHF-gain perspective the antenna isn't centered on the mount point and leans back because of the weight of the rear VHF elements. Adding more weight to the front (yagi) side may help counteract this, but it's already a pretty big antenna. I'm in a challenging location and I purchased the antenna at a very good price, but Solid Signal could re-design a better UHF yagi at the front, or at least reposition the mounting point.

I've tried a variety of UHF antennas, and finally found one that works best. We live almost due east of Baltimore (81 mi) and Washington DC (65 mi), and with smaller antennas, I was able to get about 20 stations. With this one, now we receive 77 stations from both major markets! It is a BIG MAMBO JAMBO! The entire antenna is about 12 feet long and 12 feet wide. Be careful constructing it not to break off the tabs on the matching transformer (I did this by overtightening the screws). I had to strip the wires and solder on new leads, but this was my fault, not the device. The antenna is mounted on my house at the peak of my roof using a 5' mast, properly grounded, and wired with RG-6. I use an amplifier without it, we can't get hardly any signals. Very happy with this product!

This antenna allowed me to pick up 23 channels in an area that all expert technical support staff told me that I wouldn't be able to pick up anything (except one tower 32 miles away). I did install another antenna (bowtie) that picks up MORE UHF channels (increasing my channels to 39 channels) - however I lose some VHF channels with the bowtie antenna. My next step is to install both and join them with a combiner - hopeful that I will be able to receive at least 45 channels. Keep in mind I am more than 65 miles away from all broadcast towers (except the one) and in a heavily wooded area - so I am very well pleased with this antenna. It performs as advertised! (and I've now tried five (5) antennas that didn't...lol)

I was looking primarily for an FM with long range + local TV. This antenna did the trick. My only complaint is the mounting point. More specifically, the center of gravity point of the mounting brackets. They are not at the center balance point of the antenna. The back of the antenna pulls the front up. The mount points should be further back on the boom so the antenna is better balanced so it sits more horizontal without wrestling it straight while tightening the mounting bolts. If you can, attache the mast to the boom on the ground where it might be easier to get it lined up. I will try to re-drill the bracket holes closer to the center of balance to make it an easier installation.

I connected this antenna and found a slight increase in channels (8 to 12) that I was able to receive. These channels however tended to pixilate and fade in and out. However, I wasn't really happy with only a very slight improvement for the money spent. However, I then added a mast amplifier to this antenna and the improvement was drastic! I now have access to 35 channels which are extremely reliable during the evening. I don't know why most of these stations go away during the day (towers are in Atlanta) - but that doesn't really matter to me since we work during the day. Either way, we are at a minimum of 62 miles away from almost all of the towers - but yet receiving 35 channels now. Very pleased....

I was having some trouble sifting through all the misinformation on the web, these folks set me up with great gear and info, I live 50 miles from stations, I get 54 channels, that is just in one direction, I have not explored others yet, good going Solid Signal

I bought this antenna on the recommendation of SS. Because we lost our local news channel on our satellite provider. The antenna picks it up GREAT. Even though the channel's tower is 68.2 miles from me. I'm receiving a signal strength of 75 during the day and high 80's at night. So i would highly recommend this antenna. By the way I've only go it mounted 15ft. It will be going to my shop once the local channel returns. Be ready because this thing is huge!

One hell of a good antenna! Get lots of channels in east tn. Better than my ward. Will buy again.

After downloading the instructions from Solid Signal (no instructions included) it was straight forward to assemble. Signal is a little better then my old antenna. I live on the fringe of Philadelphia and New York but can receive many channels from both when a rotate the antenna in the correct direction.

this antenna is extremeley directional.so it must be used with a rotator.but i can pick up stations over 120 miles away very clearly.
